Matthew has sold an original animated musical feature film to DreamWorks Animation, alongside having been engaged as Creative Consultant.

Matthew is collaborating with the team at Big Serious Studios, led by Happy Feet cinematographer David Peers, to create music and lyrics for an animated TV series in development. More info on Big Serious Studios can be found HERE.

Matthew Lee Robinson and Scott Anderson Morris (Atlantis) have had their new musical Black Box selected to be developed this summer by Broadway Dreams. Commencing in Atlanta, Robinson and Morris will workshop their new material in four separate cities, culminating in a New York City reading presentation for industry representatives in late August. The first production of ATLANTIS hits the U.S. in April 2019, presented by Virginia Repertory Theatre in collaboration with Greg Schaffert Productions and Glass Half Full Productions. With direction by Tony nominee Kristin Hanggi (Rock of Ages), scenic design by Jason Sherwood (FOX's live television adaptation of Rent) and costumes by Amy Clark (Heathers: The Musical), Matthew's score will come to life on stage for the first time set to a story created by Disney Theatrical's Dramaturg and Literary Manager Ken Cerniglia, Australian performer and writer Scott Anderson Morris, and Matthew himself.

With music and lyrics by Matthew Lee Robinson, book by Marshall Pailet (Off Broadway's Triassic Parq and Baghdaddy), and direction & choreography by Connor Gallagher (Elf The Musical, Beetlejuice The Musical), the brand new musical adaptation of The Magic School Bus will tour throughout the U.S. commencing October 2018. April 13th marks the release of the symphonic recording of Princess, originally from the musical revue Sing On Through Tomorrow, sung by star of Wicked and Legally Blonde - The Musical, Lucy Durack. Inspired by a concert that premiered in July 2016 at the Sydney Opera House, the album Witches brings together four of Australia and Britain's most acclaimed leading ladies, united by their iconic portrayals of the most famous pair of witches in musical theatre, Glinda and Elphaba, from Stephen Schwartz’s Wicked. The album also features songs from Wicked, Into the Woods and The Witches of Eastwick as well as favourites from Frozen, The Wizard of Oz and Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. Sun from the musical ATLANTIS will be the opening number at the 2017 Broadway Dreams New York City Showcase, directed and choreographed by two-time Emmy nominee Spencer Liff (So You Think You Can Dance). The showcase will also feature pieces conceived by Broadway artists including Nick Adams (Priscilla: Queen of the Desert), Christopher J. Hanke (How To Succeed...), Tyler Hanes (Cats) and Lynne Shankel (Allegiance).

Decker (The Hunchback of Notre Dame), Tony nominee Christiane Noll (Ragtime), Aaron Ramey (The Bridges of Madison County), Beth Leavel (Bandstand), Erin Davie (Sideshow), Angelina Boris (Broadway Workshop), Beth Kirkpatrick (Les Misérables), Heather Brorsen (Avenue Q), Amelia Cormack (Kinky Boots U.S. tour), Jennifer Lorae (Lisa & Leonardo), Jason Forbach (Les Misérables), Gareth Keegan (We Will Rock You), Toren Nakamura (Sweeney Todd).

Matthew heads to Montana this weekend to be the Guest Artist for Grandstreet Theatre's summer program, performing songs from ATLANTIS and Happy People, and leading workshops for the school's burgeoning performers. He then returns to New York to prepare for the August development of ATLANTIS with Broadway creatives.
