Matthew has sold an original animated musical feature film to DreamWorks Animation, alongside having been engaged as Creative Consultant.

Matthew Lee Robinson and Scott Anderson Morris (Atlantis) have had their new musical Black Box selected to be developed this summer by Broadway Dreams. Commencing in Atlanta, Robinson and Morris will workshop their new material in four separate cities, culminating in a New York City reading presentation for industry representatives in late August. The first production of ATLANTIS hits the U.S. in April 2019, presented by Virginia Repertory Theatre in collaboration with Greg Schaffert Productions and Glass Half Full Productions. With direction by Tony nominee Kristin Hanggi (Rock of Ages), scenic design by Jason Sherwood (FOX's live television adaptation of Rent) and costumes by Amy Clark (Heathers: The Musical), Matthew's score will come to life on stage for the first time set to a story created by Disney Theatrical's Dramaturg and Literary Manager Ken Cerniglia, Australian performer and writer Scott Anderson Morris, and Matthew himself.

Sun from the musical ATLANTIS will be the opening number at the 2017 Broadway Dreams New York City Showcase, directed and choreographed by two-time Emmy nominee Spencer Liff (So You Think You Can Dance). The showcase will also feature pieces conceived by Broadway artists including Nick Adams (Priscilla: Queen of the Desert), Christopher J. Hanke (How To Succeed...), Tyler Hanes (Cats) and Lynne Shankel (Allegiance).

Matthew heads to Montana this weekend to be the Guest Artist for Grandstreet Theatre's summer program, performing songs from ATLANTIS and Happy People, and leading workshops for the school's burgeoning performers. He then returns to New York to prepare for the August development of ATLANTIS with Broadway creatives.
