Helpmann-nominated composer, performer and arts educator Matthew Lee Robinson (Opera Australia’s My Fair Lady, A Little Night Music, original Australian cast of MAMMA MIA!) brings the Singing Actor Workshop to Mackay, sharing the tools that have enabled him to appear on stages throughout the world from the Sydney Opera House to New York's Carnegie Hall.
Attendees will gain insights into vocal technique, lyric analysis and dynamic performance delivery, drawing from Matthew's experience with creative engagements for universities, arts organisations and Fortune 500 companies, including Coca-Cola Amatil, Nintendo, Broadway Dreams (New York City), Sheridan College (Toronto), Lasalle College of the Arts (Singapore), the Queensland Conservatorium of Music (Brisbane) and the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (Perth).
Hosted by Aspire Performing Arts Studio, during this three-hour workshop five performers will receive solo instruction singing a musical theatre or narrative song of their own choice in a group workshop environment. Observer Positions are open to teachers, students, performers and creatives wishing to attend for personal and professional development.
PLEASE NOTE: Performer Positions are allotted on a first come, first serve basis in the order they register. 5 Performer Positions only.
